In November of last year, more than 420,000 learners worldwide registered for the 5-Day Generative AI Intensive Course with Google, a program that introduced participants to the foundations of generative AI. This year, Google is returning with an advanced follow-up: the 5-Day AI Agents Intensive, a free global learning experience designed to teach you how to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI agents.
This immersive program is for anyone eager to explore how agents are shaping the future of intelligent and autonomous systems. Whether you’re a beginner curious about how agents work or an experienced developer aiming to sharpen your skills, the course will guide you through the latest agentic architectures, tools, and industry best practices. By the end of the program, you’ll have the confidence to build everything from simple AI-driven bots to complex multi-agent ecosystems.
What is the AI Agents Intensive?
The AI Agents Intensive is a five-day virtual learning program crafted by Google’s research and engineering teams. Its goal is to give developers a clear pathway to understanding how agents move beyond traditional large language model (LLM) prototypes to become production-ready systems.
Throughout the program, you will explore the key building blocks of agents, including:
- Models
- Tools and interoperability
- Orchestration
- Memory management
- Evaluation and deployment
Each day blends conceptual deep dives with hands-on coding exercises, whitepapers, podcasts, and live discussions, making the learning both theoretical and practical.
Why You Should Join
This program is more than a short course—it’s a global learning community that blends theory with practice. You’ll gain practical experience, connect with like-minded learners, interact with Google experts, and leave with a project that strengthens your professional portfolio.
The 5-Day AI Agents Intensive with Google is your chance to step into the next frontier of AI development—without cost, without barriers, and with the support of a global community.
How the Program Works
Here’s what participants can expect daily:
Daily Assignments
Every day you’ll receive curated learning materials, including reading assignments, companion podcasts generated with NotebookLM, and practical codelabs to try out on your own schedule.
Interactive Discussions
A dedicated channel will be hosted on Kaggle’s Discord server where you can engage in focused conversations about the readings, ask questions, and collaborate with other learners and Google experts.
Live Sessions & AMAs
Each day features a livestream on Kaggle’s YouTube channel where Google engineers and course contributors expand on the day’s topic. You’ll also have the opportunity to join live Q&A sessions and enjoy interactive surprises designed to make learning more engaging.
Capstone Project
On the final day, a real-world project challenge will be announced. You’ll have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained during the week by creating your own AI agent using Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK). Successful submissions may win prizes such as Kaggle badges, exclusive Google/Kaggle merchandise, and public recognition on official channels. Participation is optional, but strongly encouraged if you’d like to showcase your skills.
What You’ll Learn – Course Outline
Day 1: Foundations of Agents & Architectures
Discover what makes AI agents different from traditional LLM applications. Explore their defining features and understand the core of agentic architectures.
Day 2: Tools & MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Learn how agents “take action” by interacting with external tools and APIs. Understand interoperability and discover how MCP simplifies tool discovery and integration.
Day 3: Context & Memory Engineering
Dive into session handling and memory management. See how to design agents that remember past conversations, integrate long-term and short-term memory, and handle complex, multi-turn interactions.
Day 4: Observability, Evaluation & Metrics
Gain insight into how professionals evaluate and improve AI systems. Explore observability, logging, tracing, and metrics to ensure your agent performs reliably.
Day 5: From Prototype to Production
Move from local testing to deployment at scale. Learn best practices for building multi-agent systems using the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol and discover how to deploy agents for real-world usage.
Who Can Join?
The course is open to anyone interested in building AI agents. While there are no strict prerequisites, you’ll benefit most if you have:
- Python skills (for coding exercises)
- Basic knowledge of generative AI (such as LLMs and prompt engineering)
- Familiarity with Google AI Studio (useful for model experimentation and deployment)
- Kaggle Notebook experience (to run, share, and collaborate on projects)
If you’re completely new to AI, you may want to begin with the previous 5-Day Generative AI Intensive Course with Google before diving into agents.
Time Commitment
- Daily Assignments: About 1–2 hours per day
- Livestreams: 45–60 minutes each day
The flexible format allows you to keep pace with your own schedule.
How Resources Are Shared
Daily coursework will be delivered directly to your registered email address and also shared on Kaggle’s Discord server. Recordings of live sessions will be available for those who cannot attend in real time.
